On Friday, December 6 2024, Ruairi, our CEO, will join Galway business leaders for the COPE Galway Business Leaders Sleep Out. Taking place on Shop Street from 6 PM to 6 AM, the event raises awareness about homelessness in Galway and generates essential funds for COPE Galway’s Homeless Services.
In 2023, COPE Galway provided support to 1,278 people experiencing homelessness, offering not only emergency shelter but also practical assistance to help individuals and families regain stability. The funds raised through the Sleep Out will enable COPE Galway to continue delivering these vital services, launch new initiatives, and meet the rising demand for support in the community.
Homelessness affects real people with unique challenges, and events like the Sleep Out remind us of the importance of collective action. Every donation made helps COPE Galway sustain their life-changing programs, offering hope and a pathway to a better future for those in need.
