Ruairi Guckian

Owner / Director

A native of Salthill, Ruairi founded GHR Consulting in October 2019 after identifying a gap in the market: small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) often needed support with their HR responsibilities but lacked the in-house expertise to manage them effectively.

With over 15 years of experience in human resources, Ruairi holds a degree, a Master’s, and a postgraduate qualification—all in HR-related fields.

When he’s not meeting clients in Galway’s coffee shops or cleaning up after his dachshund, Alfie, you’ll likely find Ruairi running through the streets of Galway or cheering on Galway United, Glasgow Celtic, or the Republic of Ireland national football team.

Terence Morgan

Director of Business Development & Training

Terence joined GHR Consulting in 2021 and brings over 20 years of experience in HR consultancy, training, and development. As Director of Business Development and Training, he is known for delivering engaging, insightful, and highly practical HR training sessions. His in-depth knowledge of HR issues is second to none, and he specialises in providing clear, actionable solutions to help clients navigate even the most complex staff challenges.
Originally from Glenamaddy in North Galway, Terence is passionate about sea swimming, caring for his pet cat and dogs, and supporting both the Galway GAA footballers and the legendary Glasgow Celtic.

Michael Gilmore

Director of Recruitment

Michael has spent the last 15 years helping great companies find the right people to drive their success. With experience across Ireland, the UK, and the Middle East, he brings a broad, global view to every recruitment assignment.
Michael studied Economics & Law in University of Galway and is currently studying a Diploma in Artifical Intelligence in UCD. This combination means that he mixes solid business insight with a fresh, forward-thinking approach to recruitment, by understanding his clients requirements and what makes great teams tick.
Based in Salthill, he gets most of his best ideas come while walking the prom or watching a good soccer match. Balance is everything!

Jordana Murphy Lynn

HR Consultant

A proud Galway native, Jordana joined GHR Consulting in March 2024. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce (2021) and a Master’s in Human Resource Management (2024), both from the University of Galway. Her academic background provides a strong foundation in employment law, talent development, and people-focused HR solutions.
With over eight years of hands-on experience in the hospitality industry, Jordana brings valuable sector insight and a practical, client-focused approach—particularly when supporting our hospitality clients. Known for her calm and approachable manner, she helps businesses manage their HR needs with clarity and confidence.
That is, of course, unless Alfie—the undisputed boss of the office—decides it’s time for a walk!

Eimear Ní Cheallaigh

HR Consultant

Born and raised in Galway, Eimear began her academic journey at the University of Galway in 2017. She completed a Bachelor of Commerce with French in 2021, followed by a Master’s in Human Resource Management in 2022. Her time at university laid a solid foundation in employment law, organisational behaviour, and strategic HR practices.
After graduating, Eimear spent two and a half years working in a fast-paced medical device company before becoming a key member of the GHR Consulting team. Eimear brings a valuable blend of academic knowledge and practical industry experience to her role. A fluent Irish speaker, she proudly provides bilingual HR support to clients across a range of sectors.
Outside of work, Eimear has a keen eye for photography—particularly when it comes to capturing every cat she encounters.

Nargiz Talibova

HR Consultant

Originally from Azerbaijan, Nargiz relocated to Ireland with her family in 2012 and grew up in Galway—a city she quickly came to call home. After completing her studies in 2023, she was drawn to a career in HR, appreciating the unique balance it offers between employment law, practical HR solutions, and meaningful interactions with people.
Since joining GHR Consulting, Nargiz has become an integral part of the team, supporting clients on a wide range of HR matters, including day-to-day queries and visa-related processes.
In addition to being able to speak five (5)! languages, Nargiz is an avid reader and can often be found exploring Galway’s many charming bookshops in search of her next favourite novel.

Ciara Waldron

HR Consultant

Originally from Sligo, Ciara moved to Galway in 2020 to begin a Bachelor of Commerce with French at University of Galway. As part of her degree, she spent an unforgettable year studying in Bordeaux, an experience that deepened her love of languages and new cultures. Ciara continued her studies at University of Galway with a Masters in Human Resource Management.
Now living in Moycullen, Ciara’s weekends are often spent enthusiastically supporting Maigh Cuilinn GAA from the sidelines. When she’s not immersed in Gaelic football, she enjoys sea swims, relaxing in a sauna, or simply enjoying a good coffee and sweet treat.

Alfie

Security Officer and HR Intern

GHR Consulting’s most popular employee. With a keen nose for intruders and an unmatched talent for detecting snacks, Alfie has loyally served as our security officer since joining the Company in early 2024. He ensures all visitors are thoroughly sniffed and that morale remains high through frequent tail wags and impromptu cuddle sessions.
In his dual role as HR Intern, he specialises in stress reduction, conflict resolution, and enforcing mandatory break times. When not patrolling the office or attending meetings (usually uninvited), Alfie can be found napping in the sunlight or barking for no particular reason.
